Tale of a fallen coconut

Once upon a time, when I was in TP, I visited Pulau Ubin the first time in my life.

I grew up in a family that doesnt practice family outings. All my life I'd stayed, studied, and shopped in Jurong, and when I graduated from secondary school, I didnt know where I'd gotten my courage from, but I decided to pursue my diploma in TP, which is on the other side of singapore island.

Until 17, I never knew I was such a country bumpkin. I'd never been to Pulau Ubin, never been to Chinatown, never been to bedok, tampines, simei or any districts on the east of this island.

For a project, we had to visit Pulau Ubin to do a site survey. After the initial trip that involves the whole class, the subsequent visits were self-planned, where we can choose to go in pairs, or go in big groups, whatever rocks our boat.

Being solitarius like I always am, I'll always go alone.

This one time, I was taking photographs of 2 water bodies, and to take a better angle, I moved one step back and that instance, a coconut fell at my feet.

I nearly blacked out in fright.

If I hadnt move away, the coconut would knock me out! And I was alone, so if that happen, I would be left there for days, not found out until I rouse from my sleep.

Or die and decompose there. Wow.
